Description
Description – Prominently found across the great barrier reef, these calcareous toxic green flowers have a large mouth structure in the centre with the tentacles around the edges. When a huge colony is formed, Duncans are often described by divers as neon brain like structures. As with most LPS corals they act as the penultimate auto photo tropic organism which is enhanced by 24 hour a day filter feeding tentacles. Subsequently meaning, they are highly successful reef building organisms. Although these species of coral: Duncanestra, can be found across the tropic regions of the Pacific Ocean, their most vivid forms are unique to the barrier reef. Under proper lighting and water quality, these corals will provide you with bright colours and movement too.
