Description
Zoanthids/Palys
Zoanthids are an order of cnidarians commonly found in coral reefs, the deep sea and many other marine environments around the worlds tropics.
Nuclear Green Palythoa, as per their name, are a vivid toxic green colour due to their zooxanthellae counterparts enhanced by one of the deadliest toxins in the world: Palytoxin. These corals live in depths of 40-60 metres deep so therefore they do not have high lighting requirements. These corals will commonly grow via sprouting on the flesh of the polyp, or via dividing into two. In doing so they form huge colonial formations that will light up your tank in bright toxic green. These corals are fast growers under proper conditions.

A word of caution
Although this toxin gives the coral an anti-cancer immune response, when entering our body, it can cause cells to shut down and can cause severe eye and skin irritation. Therefore, here at the coral house, we highly recommend you treat this beautiful coral with caution and handle it wearing gloves especially if you have a cut or open wound. Furthermore, wear spectacles always when fragging this coral.
